Pack rats!

Why do I feel the need to save things?
Is it to save the environment?-not really.
Is it to remember something or sometime that was significant?- nope I usually can't remember when or where I got something just by looking at it.
Is it because I grew up with 7 other siblings and there weren't that many things to call my own?-nope that's not it either.
I think that sometime I will need it or be able to use it and it would be a tragedy to not have it. I also think it runs in my family because my grandma saved milk jug lids on the off chance she might need them. My children have become pack rats also. They have collected many "treasures" over the years. While they are at school I have been weeding out their treasures. They come home and they don't even have a clue that their beloved treasures drove away in the garbage truck this morning. Could somebody please come and weed out my crap while I'm at the store today?
Thanks.

I wish we could go back!

Loryn wakes up every morning since Christmas, wishing we could go back to Christmas day. I told her we could wrap everything back up and open it again. Kayla asked me what there was to do yesterday, so apparently she didn't get anything "to do" for Christmas. Maryn hasn't even opened some things that she got for her birthday in August so I'm pretty sure the Christmas stuff will be enjoyed in the spring. Between a birthday and Christmas, Nick has so much money he is confused as to what he should buy. It is definitely burning a hole. I got exactly what I wanted even though it makes Todd mad to do it. (I asked for money and Todd finds that boring). We all got a new camera and that is why there are no pictures yet to enjoy! We also got a trip to Disneyland in March which is hard to wait for! and Todd got a gadget (I like this old person's word) to convert home movies straight to disk so I guess Loryn will get her Christmas wish! (Todd usually records the whole Christmas present unwrapping frenzy)! All in all we had fun and it was memorable and we finally get time with Todd, it's a pretty good way to end the year!

Space...the final frontier

These are the voyages of the ....

goofiest person ever! I had a slight softball injury. I'd like to blame it on the sun or the lights or a line drive, but again, it is only my own stupidity that leads me to this. It has pooled to my eyes and I am a "battered" wife now. (a little softball humor)

The old bag!

You're probably thinking according to the title of this post that I am going to speak of my birthday and how I am really old now. Yes, I had a birthday and it was lovely and I'm old but I am actually referring to the various bags that food comes in. Food companies probably think they are making life easier for a basically "single" mother of 5, but no,no, they are not. I often "tear here" and find that the bag is still sealed or I can't "tear there" without scissors. Let's just go back to the old bag where I knew I had to use my brute strength, my teeth or scissors to open it. Life is just easier that way! (I just noticed on this picture that there are scissors next to the words "tear here", does anyone else see the wrongness of this?)

It's all I know at this juncture in my life!

I was trying to think of things to blog about. I didn't want my blog to only be about the baby, but I am reminded of a certain Spongebob episode I've seen a few thousand times. Spongebob clears his mind so that all he knows is fine dining and when someone asks his name he can't remember it- it has nothing to do with fine dining!

The only thing I know is pooping, eating and sleeping! Don't ask me about anything else, it only confuses me.

The fact that I just used a Spongebob episode to explain my thinking says it all.

Camryn is here!

She came! She is healthy and lovely! All the kids fight over who gets to hold her, but I just want to keep her to myself. She was born June 3rd and weighed 6lbs 14oz! We think she looks like all the other girls, but we'll see!

Loryn starts kindergarten, Moab, getting pregnant, Baby Jesus
