'Tis the season

I was just hanging some lights inside and came across the warning;

Handling of coated electrical wiring

of this product exposes you to lead,

a chemical known to cause
reproductive harm.

.....here is the answer to anyone wondering if we are done having children.

"work Todd" might come back!

We'll see....

Todd got promoted! Yea! I'm not one to be grumpy about a blessing. At a time when our country is suffering, money wise, my family has been given a gift. Todd was given a week to think about whether he really wanted this huge undertaking or not. We took a vacation to St. George and hung out with him as much as possible. (I think they just wanted us to get really sick of him so that when he was gone so much in the future we would be O.K. with it). He is now the VICE PRESIDENT OF OPERATIONS. He is always going to excel at anything he does. His family is proud of him and his hard work! As far as whether "work Todd" will return, all I can say is

We'll see!

Only Nick!

Nick called me from school today asking me to come and bring him some shoes, I could have sworn he left this morning with shoes on. So why, you ask, would he need another pair? He has tied his shoelaces together so tightly that he can't get them undone. All morning and through recess he has been waddleing around school. 4 different teachers have tried to untie them but couldn't. One of his teachers offered to snip them, but no one may cut the precious shoelaces of his favorite shoes. I let him go to one more recess before I brought other shoes just to make sure it wouldn't happen again! I ended up cuttting his shoelaces!

Sick of sick!

I'm trying to stay positive, so I'm not going to go off on how much time I've spent with the plague at my home. I thought we were done, and then last night my youngest had a fever. After I pulled my hair out and pleaded why us?, I realized that it wasn't a very high fever, she has a rash around her mouth, and all of her binky's have been mutilated. Oh, it's just her getting some new teeth. I might be able to handle that.
I began thinking that instead of always sanitizing things more and proceeding to get out every antibacterial thing there is and strip-sanitizing the kids after they get home from school, I am going to promote dirtiness! In order for my family to build up the immunities needed to not get sick. I will be fine with my children licking the ground even in the Walmart bathrooms. I will be fine with my children wrestling the neighbor kids who have the biggest, greenest, boogers spilling out of the noses. I will be fine if my kids want a piece of gum and find one under the restaurant table.
I am open to any other suggestions as to how my family can get dirty.

About nothing

I don't really have anything to blog about, I was really sick of seeing a reminder that I had a birthday, so I'm blogging about nothing or anything. um... what is everyone making for dinner? I don't have any ideas. Give me some, and it's got to be something that doesn't have white creamy sauce, cause I want my family to eat it too!

Happy Birthday Amy!

Wow! Amy is now 33 years old!

What an old timer!
I have never posted to a blog before so sorry if I screw this up or if I don't follow proper blogging etiquette and rules!

Just wanted to let Amy know how much the kids and I love and appreciate her and all that she does for us every day! She rocks! Not many husbands can say that their wives make them a lunch every day and not everyone's wife cuts up their apple for them! I am definitely one of the lucky ones! You are a great Wife and a wonderful Mom!

Thanks for all that you do for our family Hon! We love you!

Love Todd and Kids!

The first day!

Nick said "ugggg"! Maryn said "Yea"! Loryn said "finally"!

The first day of school has come and gone, all of us made it through!

It was actually a good time!

After much contemplation, Maryn decided to have just a few friends (rather than the whole country) go to this place where you paint stuff! I went alone with the girls because we had the plague at our house and Todd had to stay home with the sick. I actually sat and relaxed and it didn't feel like the normal birthday pandemonium that usually occurs! It was awesome!

Saturday, August 23, 2008

Yep- it's another birthday!

Maryn is 6! We are so glad that she was born and that she is part of our family! She is so talented in so many things! She loves to play soccer, dance and be the boss! She likes riding bikes, playing school and doing things on her own!

Maryn we love you, every little cute part!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARYN!

Loryn turned 4 (a little bit ago) oops!

I can't believe she's 4-Holy crap!

What can I say about my Loryn... she's awesome in so many ways. She's laid-back most of the time, pretty shy around people, so very smart, really really funny and beautiful! I know she had a great birthday and had tons of fun!

For her b-day she wanted to go to Jumpin jacks and have some tacos so that's what we did!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORYN

We Love Ya!

Someone is old!

It's the big guy's b-day and without getting too cheesy I just want to say what a great husband, dad, provider and guy he is! I am certainly glad he was born 33 years ago! He is so much fun and a kid at heart! We love him a ton and hope he has a great day. We are going to the Owls game tonight if any one would care to join us!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODD!

Run, Forest, Run!

Todd and my sister, Dede, ran a half marathon yesterday! They are cool and sweaty! Todd ran 13 miles in 1 hr and 54 min. He is awesome, especially since he had an ingrown toenail a week before. It was nasty, all green and pussy and I really hurt him trying to dig it out! My sister did awesome also, considering she has a stress fracture on her leg. She finished at 2 hrs and 9 min! For all who care... Todd doesn't have a rash for the first time after running! Yea for Sports glide! Good Job Goofballs!

#2 down

We made it through our 2nd cabin vacation of the summer. We went to Bear Lake. You will notice there are no pictures- I am a knucklehead and forgot our camera. We bought one while we were there, but I have to wait for the pictures to be put on a disk. You really wouldn't want to see any of the pictures anyway. The whole family at one point was barfing! Because Jill could not go (being pregnant and all) she decided to infect her children and send them to get the rest of us, next time we'll plan it around her so she doesn't send the plague. We rode some wave-runners, ate, did crafts, ate, and swam. Except for the blowing chunks part it was a pretty good time!

What's with it?

I told Nick he could choose any treat he wanted at the gas station, because he did so well at the physical therapist. He chose a tube of gel candy. I almost spewed. Who said "hey let's make some candy that comes out of a tube!"? My mother and I agree that the only things that can come in a tube is toothpaste and butt medication!

Ewwwwww!

Nick is finally getting his cast off! He didn't really like the sound of the saw, I didn't like it much either.
These are his pins. They are sticking out of his arm and they just bend them slightly at the end!

He is going to have a little bit of a scar!
I can't believe those were in his arm. That's crazy! They just used pliers and got a really good grip and slid them out. He hardly felt it, other than there was a scab on one of them that got torn off with the pin! He is a tough kid and now we are off to the physical therapist. He can swim in a week! Hopefully we can get him to extend his arm all the way and start using it again!

I know I'm a girl!

We just recently returned from our first in a series of cabin vacations this summer! We went to Timberlakes(near Heber) with Todd's family. It was fun!
We rode the 4-wheelers, went swimming, and ate a bunch! Luckily the pool wasn't very busy because I took me and my 3 girls into the men's dressing room. We were already in our swimsuits so we went in(me not looking at the sign that said "mens") took off our clothes and put them in a locker. Meanwhile there are a few younger boys coming in, I just assumed they were with their Mom. We swam and then I went to get the girls clothes and realized that I couldn't because they were in the locker in the men's room. I had to tell Todd the locker # so he could go and retrieve our clothes. I'm a goofball! I'm grateful I didn't expose me and my children to a whole new world of naked men! From now on I'll do a better job of checking for the correct label and the picture of the person in the dress not the pants!

This is a first!

I decided it was time to start my own blog. Here it is. I hope to morph it into something that reflects me and my family, but not today.
